Does anyone have any experience with extended storage (few months - year+) of their Ferrari (or comparable level/value automobile) in an enclosed trailer?

The best post I could find on this subject is here, but the member did not elaborate much on his experience:

the next question is where will the trailer be stored... the trailer environment can be harsh with excessive heat, moisture, and limited ventilation... cars use materials that are sensitive to adverse conditions... best storage is well ventilated climate controlled... it's not the trailer but what happens inside during storage

I know someone who stored a vintage Corvette in a trailer for one year. Mold grew all over the interior due to moisture buildup from humidity. Also, there was some corrosion of exposed electrical connections. During the winter, snow blocked access to the trailer and prevented regular starting of the engine which led to mechanical problems. Lastly, the cramped space inside the trailer limits the ability to work on the car, so it basically just sits which isn't good.

I would definitely recommend a climate controlled storage facility. There's one in New Hyde Park that will start up your car every week for an added fee. Also, ask around your neighborhood; there's usually someone who will rent or loan you a slip in their garage.

My colleague stored his 348 in a trailer in extreme winter temps for about 5-6 months....No issues.
