Attended a presentation made by a reformed car theif, he was a member of a ring that stole supercars "to order" He'd been caught and paid his dues and on the advice of the police set up a little business promoting anti theft tactics. All very interesting and when you have £100K worth of car quite frightening.

Anyway, he was asked, "what ulyimately prevented you from steeling a car?" He replied, "when the car had no steering wheel!" They had planned to steal a supercar had it all planned but when they got to it they discovered it had no wheel, they were completely screwed. They hadn't expected it were not prepared for it and could do nothing but lock it up and walk away. He said that providing the wheels are kerbed and the wheel removed (as in the F1 or Rally arrangement where you click and release the wheel which is taken away) there is nothing they can. In their case they could probably ID the wheel and obtain another one but no wheel will stop most theives in their tracks.

Can you buy a removeable wheel for a Ferrari road car?

I don't use it on my 550, but I use that on my 340R when I use it. It makes things easier to get out of that car, too. ;)

I found it the nicest one to use is the NRG one as I think they are most advanced one, not that expensive, either. only like 200?

And yes for sure, someone must make the adapter not sure about the airbag, though, you will most likely lose the airbag.

I installed a quick-release hub in my 355. Works like a charm. You do look like a massive dork walking into the pub with a Ferrari steering wheel in hand, but it is a bit of a conversation starter. :)

personally I don't believe it would keep a person from truly getting the car: just a set back and some costs, considering the steering mech is so much less than the engine etc. Especially if the car to order was in high demand.

put on flatbed or back of covered truck and off you go

however, LOJAC would be a better deal and with the early warning device, as I have, it works fine.
