Does anyone have a car trailer they would like to sell or have a contact on where to buy one? I'm looking for something to tow a small Jeep or a BMW 3 series. Trailer needs to be in good shape. Something with a tire rack would be ok also.

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Ken,

I bought mine brand new from Kraftsman trailers in Ramseur NC. You can't beat their prices or quality. I paid 1500 for a 16ft ,solid floor, dual axle, with brakes.

Here's a link to the not very informative website for Kraftsman trailers in Ramsuer: Kraftsman Trailer

Their's was the best trailer I could find for the money. I bought the 18' open trailer since it saves a couple of hundred pounds and a couple of hundred dollars. An open trailer also gives you the ability to get under the car at the track should the need arise.

Oh, and it pulls very easily and they are very easy to sell after you're finished with them.

I sure am glad Bob made that observation rather than me. And just another little tidbit of information, everytime I have talked to the mayor at BigPinekey he is still working on his Vet at home in the garage. What gives? Does it really take all that extra work to get a Vet to keep up with some of the faster more reliable European models?

This banter reminds me of the bar at VIR on Friday and Saturday night. Dejavu.

    Ken -

I have an extra trailer I'm thinking of selling. In fact, I was thinking of putting in FChat classified later this month. All aluminum custom built.

    MY 2004
Custom 12' ramps allows to load FCar / Lambo without bottoming out..
Elec winch - break a way fenders - chrome wheels - elec brakes
All diamond plate floor - stone shield 24 D Rings.

Only used a few times to tow car to car shows. Very light, pull Lambo with my Ford Explorer (V8) no problem.

You can see some of it in my profile pix..

Close to 10K new, sell for $4500.

PM me for more info and pix.

Noticed you are looking for a new or used car trailer. Go to this website: www.trailerswanted.com if you submit through the contact us form on the site, one of the guys that started this site works for a local NC trailer dealer.

Or just post a want ad and they'll see it and post up some suggestions or options for you.

    Thanks.

I love the banter, You guys remind me of being at a Fraternity party in college with all the ribbing. The only difference is college was 15 years ago and we all have more expensive toys and hobbies now. Keep it up.

That's what happens when you run at the front. It takes a while to clean all of the P-cars out of the air intake. They're so messy when that big ol' Murican V8 laps them and they get drawn up into the radiator. But you're so used to running at the back of the pack, you never have to worry about doing anything to yours, huh?

Don't make me show that video! :)

And I quote, directly from Jody Austin, Mr. BigPineKey:

"Regardless of what Chevy does, they'll never get to the touch and feel of a
Porsche. Hell, I don't know if anyone will ever do that. Ferrari has been
trying for years, and still isn't there, IMHO."

    and

"They get us track guys about 50% of the way there and then leave us to make up the remainder with aftermarket parts and research. It's frustrating as hell to have to shop around to get brake pads that can withstand the rigors of the track, then we have to encapsulate the tie rod ends in heat reflecting tape, then add oil, transmission and diff coolers, all in an effort to keep up with the P-cars."

    'nuff said....

Nope I am bringing the "knife" (read Mazda) to Roebling. I still think I can hold it going into turn 2. I just hope the hood doesn't come flying up this time. The F-car has to stay home. I don't have a trailer. Maybe I need to be reading a few of the posts actually pertaining to the topic of this thread.

Rob, I plan on heading down to Kraftsman Trailers soon, do you want me to work a deal for two? BTW any car that shoots flames when you downshift like your Mazda is cool in my book.
