    Hey everyone,

Where are some locations for good DIY car washes, ie bays with a pressure washer, vaccum etc. Preferrably downtown, but any suggestions would be great to generate a list for others who are looking. It's definately time for some spring cleaning.

My garage and driveway? Vacuum cleaner, power washer, long hose, polisher (but bring your own pads & chemicals), air compressor to get water out of crevices and emblems, lots of driveway space. Bathurst and Sheppard area. The neighbours would love to witness a Ferrari car wash day. They have been bugging us to get another event ever since the FCA Europa rally in 2002 ended at our house.

    Also,
-Bathurst several blocks south of 401 on East side has a do-it-yourself wash.

There's another coin op that Ive used often in the Beaches at Kingston Rd and Queen E.

Its indoors and heated, which is nice in the winter for a quick hose off.

Queen just east of Dufferin, across from the Drake. Not the nicest but they are hard to find downtown.

And now I love going there because as you say, the Drake is across the street. Women galore my friends! ;)

By far the best do it yourself wash is in the Esso at the north-east corner of Yonge and Steeles. It is fantastic. It is indoors super clean and each bay has a vacuum. I do not remember exactly but it has about 10 or 12 bays. Each one also has compressed air for interior cleans and lock de-icing.
You can take the time to dry your car off etc as well. Cost....75 cents per minute.

I used the car wash at Kingston Rd. and Queen St. in the Beaches today, and was pretty happy with it. $3 for 4 min (or 3min? I'm not sure, I was too busy washing to look at the clock), $1 for towels for a wipedown to prevent water spots.

On the way I even had a rare spot, a black MR2 roadster with CT plates.

Yes, very true. That's Rosen's (Esso). Awesome coin wash with all that good stuff you mentionned :)

You always see some nice cars up in that area too.
