    As the title states my car will not up shift after the 2nd gear. It stays in only 1st or 2nd. Has anyone else had this issue with their car? F1 light stays on. The car is a 2001 360 spider. Any help would be much appreciated :)

    That happens because the transmission light is on. Magneti Marelli Transmission Control Units, when detecting a fault, will switch the transmission to limp-home/safety mode, which only allows you to select 1st, 2nd, or reverse. You'll need to make a trip to the dealer and find out what error code made the transmission light turn on. Could be as simple as an intermittent connection, but as long as the transmission light is on, it will stay in safety mode.
