In trying to find the cause of my midrange misfire and header glow i tried reversing the plugs on the crank sensors today. That is i sent the front bank sensor to the rear digiplex and vice versa ( at least i think) by reversing the plug harnesses and the car wouldn't start but for a second or two then died.

Should the car start with the plugs reversed like this? If it should start does the non start give me any useful info for fixing my problem?

    Thanks

So to change banks i need to switch the big plugs on the digiplex boxes?

Yes -- that works OK because when you switch the big (25-pin) plugs at the ignition ECUs you are switching the flywheel sensors and the coils/power modules at the same time.
