Thinking about wrapping a Maserati GTS.

Had a couple of questions for you guys:

Do you have suggestions on where to wrap in the area?

Thinking of doing Satin Pearl White or Matte White, any opinions?

Lastly, I've been reading, and some people say that white is a horrible idea as it will not last at all. Do you guys have any experience for white wraps after 3-4 years or so? Does it turn yellow? Any other warnings, or is it all good?

A friend of mine wrapped his R8 and it's been a year, and it still looks good:

In my experience if it is done right it lasts for a while.

who is the guy that does all the Ferrari Challenge cars, was at the FChat Austin F1 party, and works out of DFW area? that's who you need for high end cars, but can't remember company.

In addition to yellowing (from a poor quality vinyl), an all-white wrap will be susceptible to getting really dirty and then being impossible to clean. Since vinyl is softer than clearcoated paint, any light scratches will be more likely to trap dirt and dust. If you drive it daily without gentle maintenance washing, you can get black sooty buildup in the swirls and scratches from daily use that will be impossible to clean.

Not a fan of vinyl wraps like Dave said. Plus if you try to remove after a few years it can damage the paint & clear coat.

Just plasti-dip it, doesn't hurt anything, can be a tough protectant if enough layers are applied correctly & it comes off easily.

Plasti Dip vs a wrap? No thanks. A good wrap is way better for the finish than plasti dip will ever be.

Thanks for the input guys! And I've met with the Speed Shield guys last year at Dallas Auto Show. Didn't realize they had a Flickr. Thanks for the input!

Anyone have any other warnings I should heed?

I was only referring to inexpensive and white vinyl being impossible to clean...
Agree... i wouldn't plastidip a really high end car with great paint.
