Who from south Florida plans to go up the morning of the race?
Where do you stay? Actually went up the mornng of the race last year, left very early, no traffic problems.
Not that I'd be able to caravan, but I may be there. I'm not so sure this is my cup of tea, it's a little wild even for me. If I go I'll make sure to say hello!
Its not that bad. When somebody comes up to you and asks you "Would like some candy little girl?" Then you should be afraid. And if the sign above the tent says "We are the men your mothers warned you about", I would suggest not entering. Unless you are looking for trouble.
The pictures I saw looked like a redneck Spring break... gone wild! RV's, tatas, lounge chairs, and beer everywhere.. haha!! I also hear that having to use a porta potty is a possibility. Now don't get me wrong, I love shows and races, but I don't know if I can handle this one. If I go, you can bet I'll put away a 6 pack by noon! LOL
Actually, if one must sit, I would not recommend using the porta potty's after 12 noon. Time to befriend someone nice with a clean motor home.
Yeah... see what I mean? I'm not cut out for that kinda stuff. I think I'll just see ya at Celebration! Haha..
I'm likely going Friday for the Speed World Challenge race, and not sure whether I'll stay over Friday night or come home and go back early Satruday. Stephanie, Sebring isn't quite as raucous as it used to be - in the daytime anyway They banned the post-race bonfires that used to be prevalent (all the makeshift scaffolds and "watering holes" were used as kindling), so as long as you don't get drawn into the late night, end-of-race hijinks you'll probably have a good time.
Hmm.. it's a possibility, I'm just a little afraid of it. I'm such a wimp! Haha. I know I definitely wouldn't be there too late. There's still have a few more days left to decide.
I'm taking the MotorHome over this time and park on the outside of the track. I plan to take the shuttle over to track area. Plan to stay over Friday and Saturday nite.
Me and a few other people will be there. Back in 2005 i went with the g/f and had a bad experience. It was the first time taking the girlfriend and i have been to every race since 2000. I should have known better. Let me know if anybody wants to meet up.
Isn't a tata a Spanish appetizer? Like you go to tata bars and they serve you a plate of different appetizers with a drink. Or am I thinking of something else?
Let's just say they are not shy about letting you know how they feel and starting a fight would have just been stupid because it would have been like 20 agaisnt me. Just dress conservatively and ignore comments from guys but be ready for them. If you are in the paddock you wont have a problem but once you go into the infield thats where it starts. P.S. My g/f was dressed conservatively, jeans and a t-shirt and if it makes you feel any better she is going back again this year. oh and leave the sandals at home. Bring some comfortable walking shoes.
Hahaha... yes, I did. I was trying to think of the most conservative term. I was planning to wear jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers if I go. I won't be walking around that zoo in skimpy clothing! Eek! We'll see.. it's still up in the air...

Chris, your photos are great, just too normal. They do not show the insanity of Sebring like mine do. :}
...and if you ever want me to show up at Sebring you might want to keep the REALLY insane pictures to yourself. Hahaha!! Are you going to the karting event at Xtreme the weekend of April 7th? I think it's going to be that Saturday. If so, I'll see you there!
