I bought the carb rebuild kits from Superformance which includes the carb base spacers and gaskets. I’m not sure about the order of installation.
Shall the gasket sit below the spacer/insulator or shall it sit on top of the spacer (right below the carb)?

When I do my carb gaskets, I put a gasket above and below the spacer. I also use Hylomar blue sealant above and below each gasket to seal it from any air leaks.

Those spacers / insulators exist in different versions. Some of them already have the gaskets stuck to the insulator on both sides so you don't need an extra gasket. It looks like that's the case judging from the photo. You don't want sealant here, just make sure the mating faces are flat.

+1 to what @magnesium indicates: Use only the thicker spacer (installed clean and dry) on a car originally equipped so, the thinner gasket is for applications without the spacer.

I have found the new spacers to have too thin of a gasket and needs a gasket on both sides. I did this on my 308 GTS. Just my opinion. I have done this for the other carb two 308s I have owned to prevent air leaks.
    Just my .02.

Recall the original early spacers were rubber, IIRC.

The reason for all the bushings at the corners, on the studs
