I currently have a 2007 F430 and want to upgrade to CC brakes. The local dealership near me wants almost 32k for the upgrade. I am having a hard time justifying this expense especially considering the current market for Ferraris. Anyone know where I can get CC brakes for less? Note, they have to be Ferrari OEM brakes not aftermarkets.

Agree tha price is insane but i dont think you will find them significantly cheaper. Maybe some steel high performance brakes like Brembo would be better and will cost not even half.....

You have missed out a company in UK recently took CCB off a new F430 and had the parts advertised on here for a fraction of the new price.

I would see if brakes from the new ZR1 would fit the F-car. I am told they are the same set up as the FXX brakes and roughly cost 1/3 of what you have been qouted. see the corvetteforum Zr1 section for more info.

It is not practical to change to CCM brakes at all. This is due to not only having to change the brake parts themselves, but along with that you have to change many of the ECU electronics and sensors throughout the entire vehicle. I read an article on CCM brakes from the service manager at Ferrari of Silicon Valley. If you don't order your car with CCM brakes, your SOL.

Blue is right. Usually cheaper to trade cars than make really major modifications. The CCM brakes also came with a bunch of different programming for the ECU. Difficult to duplicate without a major investment. Find a similar car and trade. Fill in your profile while thinking about it.

my '07 has them. They're actually very different. They are great when driving aggressively, it's little less fun when 'tooling around'. IMO, nice to have and not worth $32k to retrofit. Heck, you probably could upgrade to another '07 (with current market prices) that have them for less increase. I'd enjoy what you have.

I have CCM on my 08 (now standard) and the only downside I can see (aside from the original price) is that they are a bit touchy at low speeds. On the plus side, the grip is excellent, there's no squeal, and there's no brake dust. I think they look better too (but not 20 grand better).

But, to be honest, if you're not tracking the car I question the real need at all.

My understanding is that you have to be careful when applying tire dressing and soap to not get any on the rotors.

..and whatever you do, do NOT get brake fluid on them. The rotors would have to be replaced at 15K a pop. The "independent" shops are now finding this out to the shagrins of my Ferrari dealer.

CCB are no doubt worth every penny of the $20K optional extra experience

I have them and respectfully disagree. CCB look nicer and are always clean - that is it. Driving in traffic takes more work and unless you are a full out racer you would never know the difference. This is all moot anyway since all 430's now come with Ceramics and if you did not buy them with the previous models, it is simply not feasable to retrofit them. Best

As already stated they do look good and stop great and no dust on wheels. They kind of belong on the car. Once you see 2 cars side by side , one with and one without, it is shocking how plain the one without looks.
