I spotted a very nice car but the rear segment has a carbon challenge grill. My first feeling is I like the 'normal' back more..

What do you guys think of this?

I don't mind the challenge grill and it looks really good on some colors ( white & black) but I prefer the standard.

It is a must for the 360 IMO.

Yes, that caught my eye too....mannnnn....the gloss on that baby!

Wonder if the challenge grill actually helps with heat dissipation....or just pure aesthetics, either way I can't wait for mine to arrive!

Looks great on a Scud/16M for some reason, maybe its due to the fact that it was the only option. As for the regular 430, I prefer the standard grill. I think that it takes away from the smoothness on the 430 unlike the 360 where the challenge grill looks fantastic. The 430 challenge grill isn't also a direct replacement I believe. That could be why it looks out of place.

It looks better than the regular (lack of) grill on the 430, and as for the 360, i agree, its a must

Many of the 08/09 430s seem to have these, but I prefer them the other way for sure (except for maybe on a black one). The diffuser on the other hand is awesome.

I ordered it on mine because I thought it made the car look tougher and would run a little cooler in the Vegas heat.

The option wasn't a lot of money... something like $1800 which for Ferrari and Carbon fibre, is cheap.

Cheap when you order it with the car, but costs both nuts when retrofitted. I am doing mine the hard way...needless to say, I'm in the market for two new nuts.

Exactly. The dealer said if I wanted it to get it at the time of ordering because it was like 10 grand to retrofit.

Challenge Grill really grows on you after a bit, and since it is unique or almost rare, seems to make the cars stand out that has them...they look awesome on black and silverstone cars!

You will need to replace the complete rear bumper to fit a CF challenge grill to an F430 which does not have it or do some major cutting and fiberglass work to the original bumper.

When I first entertained the idea of buying a 430, I didn't like it either but later it grew on me and I bought one with it on and I reckon it is a must item.
It makes the car look even more oustanding and visually more aggressive.
    Way 2 go!
