Yes, I know 348 perfection shouldn't be messed with, but my door sills were looking a little beat up, so if you're interested, here's my saga:

hmmm: video won't apparently play at the moment...sorry If you Google "Ferrari 348 Carbon Dip Door Sills" you can find it

caution: dipping ain't as easy as they make it look on Youtube for the novice

Nope, still not working. I think Youtube has to process the video portion for a while before it comes up.... apparently that can take a day or 2 sometimes. Sorry about that. Hopefully at some point it will work. Maybe??

It's very hard to do a nice job on a large piece. Small pieces less than 10-15 inches are easy but something as large as the sill is very difficult and you end up with missed spots on the pattern if you're inexperienced.

My experience with dipping went relatively well except for the side engine bay panels (large pieces) so I ended up wrapping those instead.

Nice job and definetly an improvement over what you had previously.

hi.. very informative video.. nice job and does look good..

you mentioned 348.. but in part 2, looks like you swaped in 355 doors..

sorry may be a stupid question.. but why did you fab new sills.. instead of just cleaning up the original door sills and dipping those...?

Not a stupid question. If I ever sell the car, I want to be able to offer the buyer an original car, so 99% of my modifications can be changed back to original spec if desired.
Yep those are 355 lower door panels, but I've got the strakes just-in-case.
