Hi new to this forum as I have just purchased a 488 GTB. Has anyone fitted the carbon engine covers at all? is it straight forward? Thanks in advance

I bought some Pattern CF engine bay covers for my 488GTB about a month ago. Taking the old plastic ones off are a doddle as long as you're careful enough not to drop the small screws and washers on to the engine floor cover. My new CF engine covers from Eurospares despite being good quality in terms of carbon weave and finish are impossible to fit. First reason they were delivered without the rubber seals which you have to buy and fit separately. The other and totally stupid reason is there were no screw holes drilled. These holes need to be pre drilled in exactly the right places as its impossible to measure and guess after you take delivery. If you buy ones for your 488 make sure the rubber seals are already affixed and all the screw holes are drilled precisely in the right places, then it should be very straight forward.
