"CARBON FIBER AND THE LP-670 SV"

Here is a great opportunity to learn more about the SV from Paolo Feraboli, Ph.D.
Professor of Aircraft Structures and Materials Director, Automobili Lamborghini Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory Dept. of Aeronautics & Astronautics, University of Washington

The presentation will cover the use of advanced composite materials in the Murceilago line-up, from the 2001 Murcielago to the 2009 LP-670 SV, passing through the 2004 Roadster and the 2006 LP-640. All models feature extensive use of carbon fiber composites, and the presentation will show some fundamental characteristics of how Lamborghini designs, manufactures and assembles carbon fiber components. The new SV is the most extreme and even more purist pinnacle of the Murcielago range, and it features an even larger use of carbon fiber composites than its predecessors, thus allowing it reach power to weight ratios even more appealing than her already outstanding predecessors.

This tech session will be at Lamborghini Bellevue in the showroom on Saturday, July 11th from 12pm-2pm
We have very limited seating. If you are interested in attending please contact me at andy.meyer@autocenternw.com or 425 646-3111 ext 131.

It was good to hear that Lamborghini is taking the time and money to invest in Carbon Fiber technology. It is the way of the future. Amazing information.

I love the SV, but I hate the mirrors. They look really disproportionate.

The SV won't be a direct comparison to the Reventon. The Reventon was never meant to be a "supercar killer"--it was actually done as a design study by Lamborghini. They meant it as a study of what can be done with the car--however, once it got out, people took it as the latest and greatest "Veyron Hunter."

There is a small spoiler on that car... that's the standard one. The optional one provides minimal additional downforce and was made for show - I didn't say that... came straight from Lamborghini representatives. In any case, the SV was the first Murc. that I liked with the big wing. It looks great in person and felt great on the track.

Is it true that the BIG wing is an $11000 option?
