    What do they run?
    Sharp looking or overkill?

I will need to see one in person. I am sure it will demand a hefty price tag.
Better just add on the HGTE Suspension package.
    Just my thought.

From what I have seen from research the entire compartment is around $15,500 for everything which is Part Number: 70001615

Its expensive and ugly!! Are you not satisfied to stare in the normal engine compartment? Everything is awesome already in stock. And maybe you will get even problems if you put carbon parts on it.

I am all for having an opinion, how many carbon engine sarrounds for a 599 have you personally seen? It does look good in my opinion, whether it is worth the cost is another matter.

There would be no problem with fitting the part because its an official Ferrari part.

Ive only seen in the steering wheel, the pedal shifts, front bumper part and side skirts.

Yes I entitled also for having my own opinion too. Maybe for me it's just too much for it.

I don't have it on my HGTE but I do have it on my GTO. Price is indeed on the high side but it sure looks beautiful. Really don't understand what "not satisfied to stare in the normal engine compartment" has to do with getting the CF engine compartment or not.

I have all CF options on my GTO, including the CF strip on the rear shelf. Do I look behind me while driving? No. Why did I get it ... because it just fits the total configuration package I wanted for my GTO and it goes well with the rest of the interior and the overall looks I wanted.

But ... to each his own I guess and that's what's so cool about Ferrari ... they offer the possibility to spec your car the way you want to, making them unique.

I suggest you see one first and take a couple of minutes to look at it. May have you change your opinion ;)

But they do look nice. Well finished imo.

Was the CF engine compartment available for your HGTE when you ordered it ? or is it a strictly GTO Option ?

Yes, plenty to read about and look at here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=288641&highlight=GTO+impressions

Yes it was available at that time but decided to work out my idea on the CF diffusor instead. Given that this didn't come cheap + all the other options I already had ... I decided to pass on the CF engine compartment for my HGTE.

Great idea... I already told you I really like that diffusor.
