i hate black plastic inside cars.

now almost all of it is gone.

that said, the dome light and window triangle things were clear offenders.

as such, a few weeks ago i commissioned replacements in factory matching 1x1 twill.

it was impossible to find my 6 button dome light available off the shelf.

all of this stuff will arrive this week, i’ll post photos after install.

robson design did the dome light.

they seem to be willing to make pretty much anything, they were responsive and prices were very reasonable, even after the shipping, which wasn’t cheap bc they are in singapore.

they can even do carbon buttons but i didn’t want to go that far.

i’ve suggested to them that they should put some better photos on their site…

here is some more of their work (not mine).

let me just start by saying these are not the best photos i’ve ever taken.

it’s hard to get the dome light well lit from behind in which a way where the gloss finish doesn’t mirror the flash.

nevertheless, i highly recommend the robson dome light. the little corner pieces by windows are nice but minor touch. both match my oem carbon very well.

once the oem carbon dash vents go in, i think the corner triangles will tie in better.

that will be carbon fiber round 3: the death of plastic

Yes. All of the ac controls are done. The left side VDA buttons are done. A bunch more still need to get done when carbon goes in.

Looks great! I've too been doing this slowly and using sticky surfaces as an excuse to spend $$$ on CF replacements :D
