I am a larger fella, 6 3" 270 pounds athletic build but i could lose a few pounds Will I fit in the Carbon Fiber Race seats in Large? I fit well in my Daytona seats in my f430 now but my shoulders do hang out past the upper end of the seat. Any others with my size build that can comment on fitment? Ryan
I have the CF racing seats in large in my 360. I'm a couple of inches shorter than you and probably proportional. They fit me great, though they are admittedly a little snug. The two previous owners of my car were also a similar size - probably closer to your height. When I wear a heavy winter coat (I got my car when it was still really cold out and couldn't resist a couple of drives) it is arguably a little tight around the side bolsters, but with the weather nice these days it's no problem at all. I think tou'll find them to be great.
By the way, I see that you're in Leesburg. I'm in Rockville but am actually supposed to bring my car to Ashburn next Saturday for a total detail. Let me know if you want to meet when I drop it off and you are more than welcome to try out the seats.
6'0" - 265, and I've sat in smalls, or so I've been told, comfortably. Is there a way to tell what they are by looking at them?
The 360 race seats seats are different than the 430 scud seats. I wanted to try the scud seats in Large if possible but thanks for the offer to try yours.
I dont think they say which size on the seat. Some cars have the normal size and others have Large seats. I have sat in a few scuds with normal seats and I could fit but not comfortably. I have heard the large seats are roughly 1" wider which could make it just right.
The seats have a label on the seat base with the model number and a single letter denoting size: S= Small M= Medium L= Large Difficult to find with seats in place. You have to slide seat right forward and look at the rear of the base. I have seen seats where the sticker is on the underside of the base. Can't read those unless seat is removed. I have seen a diagram somewhere with dimensions of the different size seats. It's been posted on here before.
Buy a seat of aftermarket seat and get them covered to match. I've seen it a few times and they look like factory CF seat ...but cost less
I'm 6 and 240 and broad shoulders. The only thing that gets pinched are My love handles aNd my ego. My scud has L seats
Thanks for the info guys, best thing for me to do is find a car with Large race seats and try em out...
I'm kinda confused about who's talking about 360 vs 430 seats and when, but FWIW attached are the dimensions of the three sizes of 360 sports seats. Also, again for 360s, a rough functional equivalent for the 360 sports seat is the Sparco R505 Torino. However, it's not carbon and weighs ~40 lb. If you know make/model for a carbon approximation please tell us. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for the info on the seats. I was interested in the seats sizing that is in the scuds and 16M's not the 360. As I previously mentioned the normal seat was a little tight so I wanted to see if any others had the L seats and a larger frame build like myself to get an idea if those seats would be more comfortable for me. I will try to find the L seats locally and give them a try if possible...
I've owned a 360 with sports seats in large and I also put them in another car that I covered over 100,000kms in. I now have a Scuderia with large size seats and they feel much the same as the 360 sports seats in large. The seats in a medium are very tight for most men. Read anyone over 80kg or 183cm tall.
I have the carbon sport seats in large and I'm 6'2" and have zero issues, in fact I have more headroom and definitely more comfortable for long or short distance driving. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
this is my plan if i eventually do decide to swap the seats. i'd rather have a seat more akin to the scuderia style they looks so damn good.
From another thread (360Trev): approx 54kg's (119lbs) for a pair of normal 360 seats. vs approx 26kg's for a pair (57 lbs) of optional (sparco made) carbon sports seats And another thread: Sport seats according to the poster are 28.75lbs. Daytona Leather, manual seats are about 42lbs when I weighed them. Electric Seats according to the poster are 59lbs.
haven't been actively shopping as seats are a low priority for me. i'll eventually do it when i had cash to burn but right now i'm putting all spare income into a real estate prospect.
For anyone still interested in the subject of "aftermarket carbons seats similar to the factory 360 sports seat" I may have found a candidate: Status Racing 30 lb. bare, 35 lb with brackets and sliders.
very nice find. I've often debated doing red seats to simulate more of the look in the stradales. Love the CR backs. At $2400/pair it's a relative steal compared to spending 6-7k on Ferrari sport seats.
