Carbonio is proud to announce their extended carbon fiber shift paddles for all models of Ferrari F12 and FF. Those familiar with the ones we offer for the 360, 430, 458 and 575 models know that they totally transform the driving experience making shifts on both the road and track easier and with greater flexibility and precision. Once you try them you can never go back to stock.

The paddles are the product of our direct technical partnership with the championship winning AIM Autosport racing team and were used at the 24 Hours of Daytona where they scored a front row qualification and podium result. Feedback returned from the drivers refined their shape to the present configuration and endless kilometers road testing have yielded our best paddles ever. While essential on the track, the longer paddles make everyday road driving much more comfortable and practical.

See many more photos and full information at our website with a video showing their advantages:

For those who have never tried these, they make a world of difference in street driving. Very, very handy and after about 3 years of use, I doubt I could go back to the OEM short paddles.

Thank you for the kind words Terry.

For those that don't know, we have been offering Challenge style shift paddles for quite some time. Our first application was for the F430 and it was well received so we expanded our offerings to include 360, 458, FF, F12 and 575.

If you find yourself reaching for the paddles or adjusting your hand placement our Challenge shift paddles can eliminate most of that.

Thank you for the fast delivery to Germany.

Nice paddles, unfortunately Italians like to use loctite to secure screws.
I 'dwstroyed' one screw and can not remove it now, unless I drill it out :(

So I will have to wait for a friends help until I can try them out.

I'm sorry to hear that you had troubles removing the OEM screws. This is the first we've heard about Ferrari using a thread locker on the paddle screws. When all else fails it's great to be able to count on a skilled friend or a trusty mechanic.

To the other FF and F12 owners; replacing the standard paddles for our challenge paddles are a 15 minute job for a knowledgeable mechanic. Our kit also includes the installation tool, so you will not require thousands of dollars in special tools for this upgrade. If you are not confident in your abilities, rest assured, this can be done inexpensively by a mechanic.

They're great quality paddles but the screws are not easy to remove as Carbonio has instructed. The long hex driver tool does not work as you stated the screws are in with
Loctites and removing them at an angle is even worse.

Unfortunately I had to have someone do it for me by removing the steering wheel. This is the only way to avoid stripping the screws, avoid damaging the steering leather or avoid breaking the long hex tool.

If you can remove the steering wheel then it's a breeze and you will really enjoy the paddles as I've said they're great quality.

    Terry,
same for me, i bought two years ago from Carbonio the shifter paddles (like your) and i'm happy, also if the light lever is little hindered, however they make a world of difference in street driving.

DIY when it is not a 5 minute update...

I only managed to get 1 of 4 screws out with the long tool that is provided together with the paddles.

Tried everything including better tool and hammering it more tight into the screw.

Decided to remove airbag to get better access.

After almost one hour of fiddling with the 2 screws on the back of the steering wheel we understood that there is kind of a pin in the middle of the screw heads. Organized torx tools with a whole in the middle. Of they went.
Now switched of minus and also disconnected plus pole of the battery which is on the passenger side (for lhd) close to the windscreen.
Removed the airbag and then a cap from the steering wheel nut to finally remove the nut and wheel itself.

Now we again hammered the hex tool into the screw and put a lot of heat to the screw with a Bunsen burner, aka camping burner. Somehow we managed to get out all 3 remaining screws with no damage.
Rest was easy. After reconnecting the battery had to relearn the ECU buy letting the driver window completely down and up again, waiting for one minute and starting the engine and letting it idle. Dont know if this is the perfect procedure but it all worked. Had to set the clock and was done.

If you have the tools available it is less than 30 minutes.

Usability of the prolonged paddles is superb. I liked the feel of my stock aluminium paddles a bit more due to the colder feel and a slightly different angle of the paddle I guess.

The look of the carbon is way ahead to my taste, although if you look at the paddles from a 90 degree angle directly onto the edge it does not look perfect (where the 2 halves of the paddles meet?)

I am looking forward on using the paddles on the track, will be a blast and for sure an improvement.

Summer is in full-swing and we're happy to see the F-Chat community's support for our carbon fiber accessories. Our Challenge Paddles dramatically enhance the drivability of the FF & F12 and there just aren't many upgrades that you actually touch and feel whenever you're in your car.

At the moment, we have plenty of Challenge Paddles in stock and can ship within 24 hours.

As usual, if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Will they fit a Tdf ?

Sorry for the very late response as I just saw this question. I am not sure if they will fit a TDF as we have never tried however the TDF comes standard with long paddles so there is nothing to be gained by putting them on a TDF even if they do fit. Please save your money for petrol :)

As for standard (as if you could ever use that word) F12 owners and FF owners the paddles are a very big improvement over stock and I will clarify are most often mistaken as a track only upgrade. NOTHING could be further from the truth. It is in day to day driving that these paddles truly shine and the customers who have experienced them universally cannot go back to stock. The added reach particularly on the lower side makes for a much more comfortable and natural driving experience that Ferrari has obviously figured out on the TDF. Too bad they charge so much extra for just a set of paddles :D

Thank you for the positive feedback. One of the biggest challenges we have is to get people to try our longer paddles. Without fail after one drive they are totally converted and kick themselves for not doing it sooner.

I fully agree: the benefit is so obvious and it's a completely reversible add on so no reason for not going for it!
