    Hi Everyone,

With 296's starting to find their way into garages around the World we have recently released our No-Drill front license plate mount for this model. This is a design specifically engineered for the 296. It uses our proprietary spring lock mechanism that allows easy installation and removal of the plate in seconds. Some benefits are:

    - High speed tested for stability
    - Does not interfere with parking sensors or adaptive cruise control
    - Plate is height adjustable allowing clearance for cars equipped with front camera
    - Fits all sizes of license plates globally

As a supplier to dozens of Ferrari Dealers globally we have already sold out our first two production runs to dealers and finally have inventory to ship to consumers. Check out our website for more images and for online ordering. We ship anywhere in the World with transit times of 3-5 days for most destinations.

Great job! But that layout seems to cover a major aero part/flap down there? Wouldn't it have made more sense to position the plate higher up?

Thanks for the post. Positioning the plate higher up brings a lot of negatives with it most notably is that most international license plate mounting laws have an allowed deviation from vertical on the number plate that you are permitted. This deviation is only a few degrees and nowhere near would allow for the possibility to follow the contour of the nose. As an OEM supplier we need to make parts that adhere to the road regulations so that dealers can be confident to not put their customers at risk with the authorities.

That said the strategy of mounting the plate where we did is one that we have employed effectively going back to the F430. Our testing and customer experience has shown no adverse affects to the aero of the car and the front center is not nearly as aerodynamically sensitive as the Ferrari marketing people would have you believe. On the F8 for instance Ferrari themselves almost completely block the front the S duct with the sensor for the ADAS adaptive cruise control. A little comical when you see how much effort they put in their marketing to have customers think that it is a significant contributor to overall downforce on the car :)

Initial feedback from our International OEM Ferrari dealers has been exceptional and we expect this to be an almost must have option for any 296 owner.
