I like to think I am meticulous about labelling and storing all items that I take off the car for work. One item I appear to have lost is the return spring on the throttle linkage. The one that attaches to the cam cover. It may have failed to come back from the platers. I have called around and am struggling to find an exact replacement.

Do any of you know where I can get one?

Has anyone measured the free length, strain rate and diameter.

Attached are a few photos, some of my car and some others. According to the phots, there is a range of 58 to 60 coils.
the attachment points are 142mm apart (as measured on my car with cam bracket orthogonal to the cam cover).

the one on my hand brake mechanism looks similar, but is a bit too strong.
