Just curious, when it comes back into the Country, is the owner liable to pay any taxes on this car again, seeing as it's already been in Australia before?
He will have to pay full taxes ( LCT, GST, Duty). It will be 7 figures. If you are the original exporter, and re-import the car within 2 years, then no taxes. If longer, or change of ownership, then its treated as a new arrival.
