It's definitely not a catch-all, but it's just one more good piece of information when looking.

    BTW, sell your car...........quick.............

    For the record,
I know 2 cars personally (not Ferrari's) that were in major accidents and the CF showed them as clean.

The only good thing about Carfax(if at all) is to track the ownership, how many owners and where.

Other than that, it's pretty useless. Even when it comes to Mileage.

    Many mistakes regarding mileage

Again, CarFax is definitely not the 'catch-all', but it's still good information to obtain when considering a purchase.

    1) Carfax should be used to demonstrate negative info only, not as an indicator of positive info. A lack of bad info doesn't mean it's not there, but a bad Carfax report is very valuable info.

    2) I hate to be a stickler on this, but by asking your fellow fchatters to run a Carfax on a VIN for you, you are basically asking them to participate in theft of services from Carfax. If you value the info, pay for the report.

    Just my 2 cents...

My current truck is an 05 access cab, with a V8. I basically want to find an 06 of the same truck - newer and less miles. Although I do like the new 07+ Tundras, my needs for a truck support an 06, mostly due to size constraints. The 03-06 access cabs are considerably smaller than the previous version quad cabs and even more so than the new 07+ Tundras. Since I live in a community that requires me to keep the truck in the garage, having a smaller truck is much easier to manage. Plus, for gas mileage, parking, and general maneuverability, I prefer the smaller size of the 03-06 models.

Most die-hard tuck fans don't like the older version Tundras because they think they're too little. However, for me, they're really the perfect truck. They are a V-8, so they have decent pulling power. They ride more like a car than a truck, so they're comfortable for commutes or trips. They have a decent sized bed for occasional use. Get good mileage, as far as trucks go. And, are extremely reliable - Toyota.

Correction.... After reviewing the SC430 prices, you can get two in trade for your NSX.

Thank you for being such a good citizen and for coming to the rescue of the carfax police!! ........... LOL.... if someone has access to carfax I would think it's because they PAID for access. Typically, most people pay for UNLIMITED car fax reports within a time period. Nobody is suggesting that someone hack into carfax to get any reports.
