Sorry for this lame request, but my Carfax subscription is expired and I need to check one out. If you have full access and don't mind helping me out with a VIN please email me via [email protected] and I'll give you the details. Much appreciated, Bill
They seem to be a huge waste of time. Have a good look at the car and you'll know if it's been smashed, flooded or stolen. Or why not ask your mailman if the car is alright to buy? His word is just as good as the "Carfax people".
Thanks for your help. I've been in, out under and thru it. I've looked at the service book stamps and all the service history records. I think I know what I'm getting but what the hell does it hurt to see one more available report that may prove or disprove some of my conclusions about the history of the car? By the way my mail man (woman) has probably never seen one of these anyway, or know if it's been stolen which I might not be able to tell by looking at it.
I was afraid one of you locals would see this too early. Yes it's fun, and it takes a whole bunch of spark plugs.
