    Is there anyway to get your cars history on carfax corrected? My Lotus is for sale and carfax lists one too many owners. I listed the car for sale over a year ago, but decided not to sale it. I have listed the car again and the carfax is stating that the car exchanged hands just over a year ago, but of course it did not.

    Are these records permanent, or can they be corrected?

    My understanding from what I've heard (not personal experience) is that you can. but it's a PITA....
