    Wonder if Lou was in the 747-8... I don't think Ted Stevens is his normal 'route', though.

    Yeah, not me in that one. I used to fly through ANC all the time when we flew the 747-200s. Now with the 400's and -8s, I don't see it much. Summer in Anchorage is great, but winter.....

    We have pilot bases in LAX, ORD, and AMS. The ORD guys typically fly the ANC trips. Sometimes thats all those guys do. ORD - ANC, then ANC - ORD the next day.

    Yeah, I'm sure it is. I'm just a SoCal native, so never really got a real winter growing up.

    I like the idea of girls taking clothes off to stay cool rather than putting them on to stay warm!
