The cover credit for the December 1956 issue of Road & Track reads: "The closest photographer Carlyle Blackwell could come to a red sleigh for St Nick is this 3.5 litre Ferrari. The scene is a quiet village at Christmas Eve (on the 20th Century Fox's back lot), but if the kiddies are still awake, it's not the sound of sleigh bells they'll be hearing as midnight strikes." I can't identify the driver, his menacing look suggests that he might be one of Parravano's henchmen.
As I understand it 0538 M has unique bodywork by Scaglietti (?) . I'd like to thank everybody on this thread who contributed to my 2 part Scuderia Parravano blog http://psychoontyres.blogspot.com/2011/02/millionaire-mystery-team-parravano-pt-1.html and to my earlier 860 Monza blog http://psychoontyres.blogspot.com/2011/02/im-in-wrong-business-ferrari-860-monza.html all inspired by Carlyle Blackwell slides purchased by Ed Arnaudin over 50 years ago Cheers Art
