    I am interested in a romantic getaway to Carmel for myself & my girlfriend. We are looking for a GOOD ocean view ala Tickle Pink Inn. Any other suggestions that are of an "affordable" price range or have really nice special things about them?

    I like the Highlands in the, uh, Carmel Highlands. It's technically just south of Carmel, and absolutely georgeous and very secluded. Might not be what you're looking for. They are pricy but helped my folks out a decade ago when we had nowhere else to stay coming up the 1. That goes a long way with me now.
