Carolina Trophy volunteering

Ok guys, this is going on right now, will be over this weekend. If you have any interest in very cool cars, there are about 30 at the event, including 2 Dino's, AC Bristal a 508 BMW, an Alpine, and many others that are noteworthy. Check out the website for actiives, come to the Grove Park Friday or Saturday for the finally.

Any idea what the route will be for Friday?

 

Nothing is listed on the site, but I believe ther are headed toward the dragon(tailofthedragon.com). I went over last night and checked them out, very cool older cars(vintage). As well as a 612 scag & Aston DB9( smokin hot! ). Only other ferrari's I saw were 2-Dino's. Also saw a porsche 356 with Ontario plates!!

If you are near asheville go by the grove park after 5 they should be around in the parking decks.

 

yes it was stunning...the route, over 120 miles was awesome. Lots of good pavement, and very light on traffic. The very rare Alpine, 914-6 race car, 50's Jag, XKE coupe, Ferrari 250, AH 3000 race car, MGs, multiple Porsche speedsters and coupes, all were beautiful, and the sound of the open exhaust, the Ferrari and 914-6 were increible. It is very rare that you will get the chance to chase one of these cars up and down the mountain flat out. Thanks to Jeremy and David for allowing me to ride along, since my car was not ready... It is interesting to compare the Boxster and 355.

Thank you Bob and Paul for putting this on! It was excellent. You guys and gals just have no idea what you missed.

 

Leah were you there saturday? I was driving the porsche boxster S and FMS650 was the 355. We did talk to a guy who had 2-kids and drove a 7-series, that wasn't your husband was it?

It was a great time and there were some great roads I had never been on(good job Bob & Paul). I enjoyed trying to make JDavid sick, seeing Kevin, and mixing it up with Fender in the 355. Glad you all could make it up. RedlineG60 well not much to say about him.......hahaha Mr. DD

Crap missed another great event. I passed thru Asheville on Friday morning around 9am going to Gatlinburg TN for a Hot Rod event cruise. I swore I saw Fender and Andy in that Red 355 flying by me early that morning.

 

It probably was us...We ended up there for part of the day and were on our way to the Dragon man.
