    They are pop-riveted on. You will have to drill them out :(.

    Adjust the seat all the way back.
    Protect the seat leather from the spinning drill chuck with some cardboard.
    Do your best to drill out only the head of the rivet!
    Then use a small punch to tap the remaining shank through.
    Pop rivet the new one in place :)!!
