Hello all, I have had my 360 for over a month and notice that the carpets moved about. Lo and behold!!!! There is a post in the floor of the cabin to put the metal ring of the carpet onto!!! Two problems. 1. It appears that their are two holes in the carpet but only one post on the drivers side and one on the passenger side. 2. The carpet lifts up, off the post. Is there some sort of device to hold the carpet down that is missing?? I could improvise and put a large washer and a wire tie on the post. Any other suggestions out there. Thanking all in advance for your expert help. Tom
It sounds like your are missing one carpet post on each side of the car. There should be two on each side, to match the rings in the carpets. Ricambi should have them. If the carpet is warping a little and lifting off the post, you might try a small length of fishing line (because it will remain invisible) to tie it down.
Here are the little buggers for the 360 carpets: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=261299
Will double then triple check to see if they are lurking under the seats. From the photo on the web site it would appear that there are clips that fit over the center post to hold down the carpet. Cool. Yours, Tom
The two rings shown in the photo actually screw (thread) together and essentially clamp to either side of the floor mat. They are, I guess you could say, rug munchers.
If you've got the same problem as me you'll find that the holes in the carpet have spread over time and the rings will no longer make a firm fix. I have the rings and the posts intact but the carpet will no longer stay attached to the rings because the hole has spread to greater than the diameter of the retaining rings. Time for new carpets in my case anyway.
