Hey all, Just thought I should mention that when a carpet cleaner says to test it before actual use that you should listen. I thought 'hey that's just there to cover their ass' but nope, I was wrong. Anyways I used the Armor All OxiMagic carpet cleaner on my floor mats. Long story short, they've completely discoloured the mats and pulled away most of the dye. Sucks, but lesson learned for me. Wholly poop!!!! That cleaner must have a bunch of bleach in it. Well time for new mats or might as well clean the rest to match Good luck .Steve
What auto carpet material could withstand that product??? Steel wool carpets? That's just wrong. Mike
Anything that says, "Oxi", in the title will have ill effects on most carpeting. The pH is way too high for standard nylon carpeting. If this had been a solution dyed filament fiber, it would have been just fine, in fact, you could pour bleach directly on it without any harm. I've been in the carpet and upholstery business for 26 years and have seen it all. Carpet re-dyeing may do the trick, just follow the instructions to the letter.
