I detail a 03 Murci with approx 2500 miles on it regularly. After washing the car, the carpets on the driver and passenger side get really wet. I don't recall this happening before, just the last few times. If they get wet, Ill wipe them up and vacuum out the water to get them dry, but it sounds wierd that a 250,000 car leaks water? I have started putting a towles on the floor to absorbe the water and that helps alot, but is this right? I am not excessive with the water and have been paying attention to where it goes. Anyone else have this happen?

What is weirder is that a three year old car with only 2,500 miles needs regular detailing.

Chris, are you using a carpet extractor inside the car, or do you mean after you haved it, you have wet floors and seat?

I would say it gets a wash more than a detail most of the time. either way...

no, not on the seats, just the carpets where your feet go. after the wash, it is like that when the doors are opened for the first time after it was washed

Have someone sit in the car and hose the car down to find out where it's coming from.

From what you are describing, it seems like the widsheild seal is faulty. Ethier it was not installed correctly from the factory, or the car has recived a replacement windsheild that was not installed correctly.

edit: the windshield may not have been replaced, and I doubt it was that anyway since the dash does not get wet, only the floorboard carpets
