Planning on starting the girl up tomorrow and bringing her to the NC Music Factory. Anyone else bringing their horse out?

Not sure where I am going to park this time. Need to find a place where not so many people will fiddle with my car. I had so many try to open the doors and leaning on the sides.

Maybe will try to park either by FCI, if they are there or more near the back. Anyone else find a prime spot to keep the finger touchers at bay?

Those who didn't make the trek out, here is what you missed.

A BEAUTIFUL 512 Boxer (only mid-engine V-12 at C&C in awhile), 458 Spider, an F430 Spider, Modial coupe, and probably the best looking 360 gated shifter spider in Charlotte! (just a little biased on that last one).

Let's make a strong showing at the March event with an after-party at Pint Central!!!

the roads are in terrible shape up here at the lake. salt and sand residual all over the place. I started to go on a drive this morning but turned back as I saw the roads ahead.

I will not be driving my cars until we have some nice rains!!!

I am surprised to hear there was an event today.

I was fortunate enough to have no brine or salt on the roads to C&C. So I drove to the event and then back home. I felt bad, because it was such a nice day I wanted to get it out on the road for awhile.

Looks like rain most of the week, so hopefully all the roads will clear up next week.

I too had reservations about driving the car on roads that have been coated with brine. We drove to lunch today and passed a truck going the other way with white dust flying everywhere.

Maybe it happened after you left, but there was an incident yesterday when a late model Mustang lost it doing a burnout leaving the lot. He slid into a fire hydrant narrowly missing some cars. Fortunately no people were in that area. This could threaten future C&C's at this location.

I, too, witnessed that Mustang sliding up the hill. This was right after a cop had sat for about five minutes and a Silverado went speeding right passed him. So after the cop left, the Mustang and many others started trying to show off again.

I would not be surprised if future C&C are canceled after this.

I was very excited with the move to the new location. Right by Uptown, easy parking, and it's great to see an independent place like Matties get all that business.

However, I'm not bringing any car I care about (let alone my family) to a place where idiots lose control of their rides. I'd rather drive on ice - at least there, most acknowledge the potential for wrecking.

Of course, in the hideous fascination department, I wonder if the idiot who spun the Cobra has been back, or if this Mustang moron will return. Perhaps if nothing is done, Darwinism will keep these dangerous fools away.

I feel bad for the organizers. As someone who spends their own money and free time organizing something similar, it makes one wonder why they should even bother.

I saw that video linked on the Carlsbad CA C&C Facebook page. Glad I was not there. From that previous incident where the car spun out on that street with spectatos sitting on the curb, it's pure luck no one has been injured.

Like Junior Brown sings in his song "Highway Patrol" "So if you wanna race get on a race track!"
