i will be there
Weather is improving for tomorrow. As of 7PM, forecast is: "Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. Northeast winds around 5 mph. " Think I might do a little Italian this week. LOL.
Wow we had another 24 show. The Mustangs are arriving strong. They outnumbered the Ferraris. Had 24 total cars. A few first timers - Great weather. Thanks to all and pass the word. Sunday May 15 Our new title kicks! I can't take credit - thanks to Scott! We are just a versatile crowd. If we are lucky in between showers we may have an event. Let's see what happens. I'll bring the BMW with it's recent polish/glaze/wax to test any rain drops. Hope to see you. Barbara
A few shots from last week. Can't make it tomorrow, but hopefully I'll be back next week. http://www.flickr.com/photos/spencerpankiewicz/sets/72157626707859768/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
Try the Great Falls event May 29......all Italian..no Mustangs. 52 mile run from Annapolis sorry, shameless plug!
your right - maybe not shameless - tasteless - we all know about Great Falls. Possibly you missed the fact that they are not all Italian there. We don't discriminate - we want all auto enthusiasts to attend in Annapolis. We like the Mustang ponies joining with the prancing horses and others. Barbara
The area by the visitors center floods - sometimes driveable BUT... The Hell Point restaurant manager advised that we can come in on Prince George St. and ignore the one way for a block and make a right on Craig St. (Crepe place) and then a left toward our spot. Mapquest 12 Dock St. Annapolis and zoom in. If you come in another way just head toward Steven's hardware on the corner - go straight and right at traffic light onto Prince George St. and down to Craig St. The tides get funky there - It does not have to be raining. He said there is never any water where we meet. Back up plan is park anywhere near the Hard Bean Cafe around corner from Buddy's Crabs. If it is raining ...cancelled Barbara
Barbara; you missed the point...The Great Falls "Cars & Cappuccino I mentioned is a special event...on SUNDAY (not Saturday which is the regular Cars & Coffee...hence the different name) , Italian Cars ONLY, BRUNCH time (ie. sleep in, bring S.O. for brunch date etc.) sorry you find the mention tasteless. Nothing against any other car make. The Cars & Cappucino event is simply geared to folks who are really into the romance of Italian machinery as created by Ferrari, Maserati Alfa Romeo Lancia, Fiat etc....
thanks for clarifying - didn't know there was a seperate Italian event. When I see Great Falls - thought it was Katies. Had to stand up for my pony buds Hope the event has a good turnout and pics posted. Barbara
TTT for 22 May. Should be a gorgeous day. Chris needs to bring one of his trucks and get rid of the non-C&C cars. LOL
had a decent turnout - around 21 cars showed with a few first timers. Had a great time today seeing all of those unique vehicles and meeting such great people. Hope to make it again in the future. Dan 348 spider. Sent from my DROIDX
It was a pleasure meeting everyone today! This was my first C&C and I hope to make it out to more in the future! I was the one with the Aubergine 911. Cheers, Nick Iliff '73 911E Aubergine/Russet Brown '08 Boxster Guards Red/Black
Chris and I have planned some fun things this Sunday starting in Annapolis at Cars & Coffee. 0800 DJ w/Music - onsite 2000w speakers, no rap music (promise) 0900 Toast to the Veterans - it is Memorial Day weekend and we should show our respect and gratitude for our veterans and all the men and women serving today 1015 Caravan to Broadleaf Tobacco - Cigar store & lounge (about 15 minutes from Annapolis City Dock -- only five minutes if you drive a Pumpkin Lambo) Broadleaf Tobacco and Smoke Shop (Severna Park) 1130/Noon-ish - FREE Outdoor Barbecue - thanks to Brian at Broadleaf Optional adult beverages and more food at Brian Boru restaurant/outdoor seating overlooking the cars (next to the cigar lounge) Brian Boru Resturant and Pub: Food and Drink
With a Ford grill no less (seriously). Owned by a nice motor-head with a local shop in the county. Does all his own maintenance work and mods. I really like what he's done to the car. You have to see the car in person to appreciate the car (and owner). Are you planning on swinging by Sunday? DJ music, then making a run to a local cigar lounge around 10:15 am that includes a free barbecue lunch. There is an adjoining bar & grille with outdoor seating for those so inclined at the cigar bar, or you can ldine in downtown Annapolis.
Visiting annapolis this weekend. Don't have the 575 with me but want to drop by c&c tomorrow. Where and when?
No, I have to live vicariously through you guys. Two kids under 3yrs, restrict what I can do. Just curious about the 328, because I know a lot of 328 guys like the improved reliability over the 308, and a lot of 308 guys like the 308 look over the 328, so if a 328 can be converted "back" to a 308, it would be interesting to know.
