Breaking my posting cherry to ask a simple question:

I see on the 2012 months ahead events calendar that this Saturday (March 17th) Cars & Croissants is scheduled, but usually see a posting by Thursday of the week in this forum confirming if the day is on.

Can anyone provide a definitive answer on tomorrows meet-up, or at this point is it still TBD? It is looking to be a beautiful day in the Northeast (65 F/Partly Cloudy)!

 

As far as I know if it's on the schedule so it's happening. Since there's no real formality to it (it's just people in a parking lot ) I'm sure people will show up even if Kirk/Abi don't post something specific about it being on or off for Saturday...I plan on being there anyway

Welcome to the forum.(although from what you said you may have been lurking for a while) I have also been checking this section wondering when the announcement will be made. Like you said, its usually by Thursday or at the latest, Friday. Weather does look good.

Woo-Hoo! So very glad to hear it. I attended the last gathering of 2011 and had a highly enjoyable time there, but haven't been able to make any so far this year. This Saturday, that will change.

I have been lurking for a while on F-Chat, but only registered recently. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to own one of these fine steeds, and presently dawdle through life with my 2005 Honda Civic commuter car (32 mpg, F--- Yeah!). Looking to upgrade, to something German, in the near term.

My father in law purchased his first F-car 5-6 weeks ago, a Nero 2005 430 but has already upgraded to an '07 Giallo 430. Both beautiful. He has obviously been bitten by the bug. I am trying to get him to join along for a ride out to Chatham a bit later in the year, but we are scheduled to go to the Concourse in PA on May 20th as of now.

He afforded me my first ride in one of my dream cars -Anything Ferrari-, and even let me take the Nero one for a spin while he had it. My addiction has never been worse. Look forward to seeing and meeting some of the F-Chatters tomorrow.

I have an aquantence coming from the UK this week and he's going to go out to my garages and have a look at my cars so I wondered in there was any event planned for this weekend?

You can always stop by Classic Coach with him. Depending on what's there any given weekend, that can be an event all by itself. And since the weather's nice, could be a lot of interesting cars hanging out.
