From looking around on the internet quite it bit it would seem there may be some deals if one was to bring F Cars up from the US to resale in Canada. I have never brought units up from the States. Does anyone have any insight that they would care to share?

Much like bringing a european car to the US there are some items that must be converted to Canadian Specs. Check these links:

    http://www.tc.gc.ca/pacific/faq/road/importation.htm
    http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html

I believe that the cahnges are:

Bumpers - strange since theirs have a lower impact rating but their law
    Daytime running lights
seat belt restraint locations - could be a big / expensive project
child seat anchorages - if pre-US requirement
Metric binacle - some can be switched, others need a new instrument pod

All of these modifications must be made by a Ferrari Dealer.

There is an exemption for cars older than 15 years old.

    Hope that helps.

If you get ones over 15 years old it's just a matter of crunching the numbers and seeing if it works out. I got my 87 328 from the states and it was maybe a bit cheaper. Don't know if you'll get rich doing it though.

If you get one newer than 15 years you could be in for some real headaches, so ask a lot of questions on this side of the border. You need to consult this page, and watch out for the *asterisks*, they're trouble. http://www.riv.ca/english/US_vehicle_admissibility.pdf

Don't waste your time. If it was that easy or profitable, all the exotic car dealers in Canada would be doing it....heck they can buy at wholesale even.
