On Saturday, February 6th, the amazing 'Cars on 5th' show will once again be held in downtown Naples. This is a fantastic show for enthusiasts of all types. Many different types of makes, models, and vintages of cars on display! Something for everyone! From exotics to muscle cars to classics and more.......it's awesome!! For anyone displaying their car, you need to be there early......this is a very popular show, and it gets crowded quickly so in order to park everyone you need to be on time. There will be a group drive over to Naples from the East coast the morning of the event - Meeting at the gas station in Weston, off the Indian Trace exit of I-75 (as you're heading towards Naples). Leaving Weston at 7:00am - Yes, that's early....but we need time to drive over & get situated before the show opens - it's worth it!! This is one show you don't want to miss......
FChatters, We have some fantastic cars again for the Cars on 5th show coming up in Naples. Examples include a black Enzo, 3 F40s, Vintage, 2 Koenigseggs, Ford GTs 50 + Ferraris, plus Lambos, Masers, Alfas, English, Porsches, Muscle, Classics.........what a show it will be. Our dealer sponsors will be out in full force including Ferrari of Tampa [bringing 10 cars], Autoquest, Naples MotorSports, Naples Bentley and Ambassador Motors. We would love to have other FChatters join in and display their cars and spend a fun day on beautiful 5th Avenue in downtown Naples. Go to www.NaplesFerrariClub.com and click on the Cars on 5th Show for registration forms. Drop me a note if you have any questions about registering or the show in general. ciao Steve Cantera Ferrari Club of Naples
I should have my car back form service by then, so I'll plan on driving down from Tampa if anyone wants to caravan down 75.
Joe, What are you bringing? Do you want to put your car in the show? Let me know w/ a PM. thx Steve Cantera
Hi ILuv4Res, I came across this site/thread googling Cars on 5th. This will be my first Cars on 5th and really looking forward to it. I will be displaying my cars ('08 Boxster S) with PCA and was wondering if it would be OK to caravan with your group over to Naples? Thanks! Chris
Great Fred! I'll have two friends/acquaintances who may be interested in caravaning with the group as well - they'll be displaying their 1990 M3 and 1993 M5. Barring any unforeseen issues, will see you at the gas station off Indian Trace & I75 no later than 6:45am. Really looking forward to this!
Great! The more, the merrier. This is a great show for all enthusiasts!! I will likely drive my Lotus if the weather is nice.
This is a great show and we really enjoy it. We finally got a baby sitter, BUT she can not be here until 9ish. So Adriana and myself will head west and meet up with you later. I am not sure what car I will be taking. Do you think there is safe parking (not within the show) for the ferrari ??? If not, I will most likely take one of the daily drivers
Hey Robert glade to hear you and Adriana are going. A few years ago I was able to park real close to the Show. I'm not sure how the parking situation is now. P M Steve Cantera, he would know. Hope you bring the F-car........a group of us will probably drive back East together in the afternoon, and since Fred is not bringing his LOUD CS, I would enjoy following your almost as loud 360 !
Lots of safe on street parking. Anywhere on 8th north of 5th or go North on 8th, then S on third. These would be my first choices, but there's tons of onstreet parking anywhere around 5th.
So, who's really going? .. this is really tempting, everytime we drive to Naples it's always fun! Oscar
Oscar, I need to get a hold of BT and give him his watch back. Depending on his plans, I might drive along a short while. Can't make the whole trip though.
Okay FChatters.....if you don't have any specific plans for Saturday then you have no excuse not to see one of the best cars shows in the SE region. I have brushed off my day job for the last week to coordinate this incredible show. Once again we expect to have 400 cars displayed on beautiful 5th Avenue in Naples. Where else are you going to be able to see a Supercar display w/ 2 Koenigseggs, 3 F40s, 3 Ford GTs and a black Enzo? How about a Classics section with Dinos, Boxers and such. An impressive line up of V-12s featuring 599s, SAs and 575s. The 430s are in the teens and growing everyday. Followed by 360s, 355s and a great group of 3X8s. A gruppo of other Italians with Lambos, Masers and Alfas round out an impressive collection of fine cars. Our cooperating clubs include the Porsche Club anchoring an all German display adding MBs and Bimmers. 2 Corvette clubs are joining in w/ an impressive layout of 60 Vettes. Cruisers are bringing out Classic 60s Muscle, Modern Muscle, Rods, and other Classics. Add in some fun vendors....ever seen a Conquest [truck], or some of Rock Ruby's work? Meet the shop pro here at F1 Imports...a great service shop here in Naples. Lots to see and do. Our great sponsor dealers are coming out in force this year. Our lead sponsor Ferrari of Tampa is pulling out some fine wares. We just got the word that they are bringing 10 cars including a 375 America, 333 SP, Birdcage Maser.........unbelievable. Naples Motor Sports will have a nice selection of exotics as too will Autoquest, Bentley of Naples and Ambassador Autosales. Dimmit and Lamborghini of Sarasota will coming South to join us. The show is open to the public from 10 to 3 PM. I would suggest trying to get there early before the crowd sets in. And because I know what the spouses want............tell them........"the shops are great, restaurants abound and the beach is a few blocks away". And all will be entertained by country music singer and a really great guy, Rockie Lynn. I'll ask him to get into some really good guitar licks..he knows how to play. Sooooooooo....this Show is worth the trek for any of you FChatters. It will be a great day to see cars and enjoy the sights and best of Naples. Your significant other will have a good time too. Any of you coming over to SHOW YOUR CAR please PM me w/ definitive info on you and your car. I will give you necessary info. I have to "ink" the layout soon. ciao Steve Cantera
Glad you guys are coming. Call me when you arrive. I'd like to talk to you about my niece getting accepted to the University of Miami!!!....GO CANES.....ITS ALL ABOUT THE U!!!
Just so everybody coming over knows....... in Naples "Streets" run N-S and "Avenues" run E-W. The break where Streets and Aves end in N or S is Central Ave. Example: there is a 5th Ave N and a 5th Ave S.....The show is 5th Ave S.
I did these cool T-shirts for the show. This is the back of the shirt. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For those of you traveling accross the Alley...... 1. On I-75 North take the 2nd Naples exit Golden Gate Exit 105. 2. At end of ramp turn left [West] on to Golden Gate Blvd toward Naples. 3. Travel approx 2-1/2 miles until Golden Gate ends at Route 41. 4. Turn left [South] on Route 41. 5. Travel 1-1/2 miles to traffic light at CVS pharmacy on right at 3rd Ave S. [not 3rd N] 6. Turn right onto 3rd Ave S. and find a place to park. Show is on 5th Ave S. There is a parking garage that can be accessed from 4th Ave S at 8th St. But it will fill early if you are not. There is another garage on 8th St one block South of 5th Ave, but you will have to loop around the closed 5th Ave to get to this new garage. Both garages are free!!!!!! What a great town. NOTE; if you are showing your car..........keep going west on 3rd Ave s to 6th St. Turn left and someone will be there at the show entrance for Ferraris/Italians. Try to be there by 8 AM before the crowd sets in.
