Looks more like a two seater IRL car, the air box being a dead giveaway. Likely a pre-race promotional event. BHW
I was thinking the same thing, but how come they are not wearing any helmets or how come there are not other chase cars around them?
It looks like it has headlights on it?! Check it out closely. Not sure if that's a fluke sunlight reflection or not. It's possible that they went out for an early-morning joy ride. Yeah yeah yeah.
They run that thing around Indy in May and at the beginning of the IRL season as a promo deal. Saw it last spring near downtown.
its the IRL 2 seater... headlights, turn signals and street tires all street legal. we have rented it out for promo events lots of fun and definitely a attention grabber. no helmet needed as its a motorcycle engine in the back.
I went back and looked at the video and noticed it does have headlights. That's cool. So you guys don't have to wear helmets on your motorcycles?! We do in Canada. Even if you are in a Trex (which has a full rollcage) you must wear a helmet!
When I first got my '88 March/Cosworth Indycar I did a couple of laps in the neighborhood with it. Of course some lady called the cops............but we had the car put away by the time they arrived.
Helmet laws are state to state, in AZ you can go out in shorts, bare feet and nothing else if you really wanted... and helmets should always be worn in a vehicle with a cage cause smashing your face into a roll bar doesn't feel good at all.
