The Vette is a 1965 Coupe. It was a 396 with factory radio and heater delete and was used as a race car all the way to the 80's. Even has an article about it in the Corvette magazine in the 80's. It ran a small block for many years and is currently fitted with an all iron 327 and will run in the appropriate small block class in group 6 with the SVRA. I'm looking forward to it as it is very period correct and I can drive it on the street a bit. It should be fun and reliable to run and that's why I got it. Currently I am personally finishing the engine build and final set-up. I'm not looking to prove anything with it. I just like it.

I'm sorry you haven't had the opportunity to drive in a while. What did you race?

started in solo 2, went to solo 1, went to scca regional, went to scca nationals, did some imsa firehawk, finished on 2 wheels racing in ccs and wera.

i loved each late night and each minute on track...just hated that it was such a huge drag on the bank account!!

may consider a lola t-292 or 294 or a fia papered chevron to go vintage racing in.

    FerrariPete,

Looks like you had a good run. I like your possible choices for vintage racing. I hope we will get to race in the same group in the future. You have my support.

Excuse me, but you'd get your OLD ASS KICKED in Euro F3. That series is an exceptionally difficult one, guys like Hamilton, Kubica, Vettel, Rosberg all came from there. The difference is, they had around a decade of hard kart racing, starting at a young age, at the most competitive levels in Europe, then seasons in FRenault or FBMW. If you had the backing, you'd need around a $1 million dollars US for a seat. If you had the budget, you'd surely not only be the oldest driver in the series (by far) you'd also certainly be a back marker. If you had the budget to do 2 or 3 seasons, which means a few million dollars, you'd get better, but by that time you'd be known as an extremely crappy pay driver, and you'd also be over 30 years old.

You need to stop posting this BS here. The fact that you continue to do so, only makes you look that much more fake.
