Is this thing for real? I was watching this on TV last night and was wondering if you have ever been in the cash cab.

I believe it is real. I certainly have never seen it, but anytime I see an Honda Oddessy Taxi I always wonder.

How to spot the cash cab:

    1) It's relatively clean

    2) There are 4 square yellow bumpers on the rear end of the car

    3) The cab has VERY dark tinted windows

    4) It has a double-height meter that you can see through the front window

    5) There will be a chase vehicle that's usually a white rented Ford van. Occasionally, it'll have a decal on the door of a blue clap board...

Its legit, so of my dad's friends from work were on it, they didn't win because they asked a drunk guy for their street shoutout.

Cash Cab is a game show on the Discovery Channel. It involves random people who enter a taxi and are then asked trivia questions for money while driving to their destination. 3 strikes your out, you get 2 "life-lines" called shout outs, on a cell phone and on the street. The show is filmed in NYC.
