Hey folks - had the 355 suspension alignment checked last week and the caster setting for the LH front is showing as out of spec. Toe, camber etc looked good.

The "book" says 7degrees positive plus or minus, and my LH is reading 6.30 - do we think this is significant enough to cause a handling issue ?.

The car has always had a slight pull to the left (not a strong pull but a gradual, gentle lean almost but you can feel it through the steering) and it is wearing the inside of the tyre a wee bit so am wondering if this is related naturally.

The check was done on a very high tec bit of kit, but the look of panic on the testers face when he realised he was dealing with "old" technology - ie shims - and he might be asked to remedy things was quite entertaining.

Looking for your opinions and best way forwards - what do we think ?- Thanks.

    Fix it

L&R should be within .5 for no performance clunkers, These cars need to be dead on not "close enough"
630 vs 700 will cause a pull for sure and unstability at speed

Cheers for the response SoCal1 - appreciated. Would you have any idea as to what sort of width shim I would need to remedy this ?. I see that they come in several different widths but wouldn't have a clue as to which would be best to sort the prob.

Am assuming that I would need to increase positive caster by circa 30mins to get closer to the 7 figure and that that would need an additional shim or two on the LHS side of the lower balljoint (if you are kneeling by and looking straight at the LH front wheel) ????

Am learning all the time !!
