Has anyone thrown a check engine light and pulled this code ? Have there been any Cat failures with the Scuderia ? Code says Cat operating below efficiency on Bank 1. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated

see this code on regular cars all the time at my work, usually just a loose / worn seal - gas cap :) (folks tend to get a code shortly after they filled up) GL

P0420 is a catalist inefficency code, Bank One, right side cylinder bank. The ECU is looking for a change in referance from the Fist O2 sensor to the Second O2 sensor, after the catalist. This shows the ECU that the catalist is converting the exhaust gasses. As the catalist becomes less efficent over time the light can illuminate. It can be caused by aftermarket calalist as they have a different efficency rate outside of the ECM profile. Or the catalist itself has deteriorated or is contaminated.

A "gas cap" error is typically po440 (evap system leak ) or a po456 ( small evap system leak )
