hello everyone - i'll try not to make this too long...

hope all is well with this great community :)

to preface, the car is running like an incredible, lithe yet powerful luxury warp-speed chariot...no probs - what an amazing car...

that being said, however, without any type of warning, i returned to my car after it had been sitting (parked) in full sun (friday - it was HOT) for about 45 minutes. upon starting the car i was presented with a "catalytic sensor fault - drive slowly to dealer" message. yikes!

i have done countless searches in the archives so my post is not redundant, yet i have not found any entries on this particular message - this was not a CEL.

there is no degradation in performance (i drove her home slowly) and all gauges are normal. upon advice from a ferrari-tech-friend, he suggested i take it for two small drives to see if it might reset the error msg after self-diagnostics. no noticeable changes in performance or temp - the alert didn't go away.

any thoughts? the next drive it takes is straight to the dealer for a check, but i'm guessing just a sensor; i did read that if the msg comes on immediately upon starting, it's a sensor since it takes a while for the CATs to heat up to danger level...

thanks SO much in advance for any insight.

no - i'm not driving her around - it's not worth the risk!!!

    ciao

    John
