    I'm just about done replacing all the hoses on my 308. I just did the 2 long hoses last night. When I pulled the access panel behind the driver's front wheel, it was caulked with some really nasty stuff that acted like 20 year old used bubble gum. When I put this panel back in, what is the best thing to use for recaulking it?

    I used a paintable urethane caulk about a year and half ago with great results. It is available at most auto finishing stores.

    Will I be able to remove a urethane caulk later if I have to get the panel back out? My impression was that they chemically bonded to the surface.
