    Hey all,

I'm considering going to my first Cavallino next year in Palm Beach. I'm looking for lodging recommendations that aren't outrageous.

I'm not familiar at all with the area and driving distances. I'd like to stay within 10-15 minutes of Breakers.

Also, which airport is best to fly into? Thanks.

Fly into PBI (West Palm Beach) if you can, as it's very close. The next nearest airport is FLL (Ft. Lauderdale).
As for lodging, everything on the island is pricey in January, and you'll get a significant discount on a room at The Breakers if you're registered for Cavallino, so you ought to consider it. I'm biased (probably stayed there nearly 100 times), but I do think it's awfully nice. If you're staying elsewhere and driving to The Breakers for event-related activities, parking is a hassle, and there are only two other hotels within walking distance.

Breakers is nice but frankly a bit of a ripoff in season. The rooms are really nothing special IMO for what they charge but if you want to do the whole Palm Beach Foo Foo blue blazer experience that's the ticket. Just be ready to be gouged.

I've stayed at the Residence Inn downtown for a wedding and it was fine:

You can also check out the downtown Marriot, Hyatt Place or Hilton. All three are a very short Uber ride to the Classic. Don't drive there if you can avoid it, parking fees are ridiculous.

you'll enjoy the show. it's stunning. so many insanely rare and gorgeous cars on one show field. you'll read about people complaining about the price of admission (myself included) but i think everyone HAS to go at least once. great show. great cars. great time. had my car judged there last year and it was GREAT time. enjoy it.

I used to live in SoFla honestly anything off I-95 is a simple easy drive to the Breakers so you could stay in Boca Raton or even drive up from anywhere Ft. Lauderdale or further north. If you go further south your distance is increasing and your chance of considerable traffic. Driving out of Miami is a doozy depending on time.

There are SO many places to stay near the event it's not funny. Look at hotels in Palm Beach Gardens (ten mins from the Breakers). Very nice city, clean, safe, etc. Close to 95 and easy to get to the Breakers. There is a Marriott by my old law office right on RCA boulevard that is nice and it's like 2 mins from 95. ARA

I stayed at an AirBnB condo border of Breakers for $200 a night. Owners were dumb and put wood floors down 2nd floor. Resident owner underneath me came up to talk saying he hears every step. I didn't even have my girlfriend there, I was by myself and just walking around was loud for him. I felt bad for him.

There is also a relatively new hotel, called The Ben. If someone else listed it, apologies.

Near the foot of the north bridge, about a 5 minute ride (and maybe a 30 minute walk?) to the Breakers. High end, I think affiliated with Marriott. And you are in walking distance to a bunch of restaurants in downtown West Palm Beach.

    May I please ask?
Why is the driving event the day before the Concours not after?
If prepared and shipped for Concours, then to just get dirty again before
Perhaps this is why the Friday Tour de Eleganza is the option

The rally I saw last year had very few cars that were actually in the Concours. There were some cool cars like a F50, but not many vintage.

    We dont judge dirt.

In my opinion every concours should have a prior mandatory drive of 50 or more miles. It has been discussed doing that at FCA. After drive cars go to impound.
