LOOKING TO PURCHASE ISSUES #4; #5; #6; & #14.
Good luck on those early ones!! I started my collection when I bought my first Ferrari, in 1997. Those were rare, THEN!! Of course they are "out there" but with complete collections so valuable, your best bet is Cavallino themselves, Albaco, or just hoping someone old passes away and they show up at Half Price Books (j/k, that's not likely....) I recently added some early ones, (below Issue #20 is pretty hard to find) and aside from the historical value, they were pretty "thin" magazines!!!
That's a great link!! Actually those prices are not too bad.....I might take a stab at completing my set! I have let my subscription lapse, in recent years but the later ones should not be too expensive...looks like the OP can get what he needs there, without breaking the bank.
DINO 2400 Got your message. I'm going to give my search a little more time before contacting them. I enjoy the "hunt". So far it looks like #5 has been taken care of. I'm down to needing #4; #6; & #14 - then it's Mission Accomplished...... Bob
I have a bunch in the Cavalino cases. I'll check to see if I have any of those issues. I'd like to get rid of these if possible.
recently sold my entire collection of Cavallinos, along with an original #1. most guys don't want to break up a collection if they don't have to pondering what to do with my book/brochure collections
Isn't there a model car show and sale in Chicago in March each year? Ferrari books there to??? Load up the trunk...
Yes, been attending that show since the late '70's as a buyer and now a seller Unfortunately, it used to be many buyers/sellers came from faraway places. The net and EBay changed all that and now it seems the people that show up in Chicago are mostly locals or from not too far away places There are a few exceptions, but the serious money doesn't need to travel to Chicago anymore........just a sign of the times I guess
I'm not so sure about that.........I've been down both paths Different stages in life I would think..........all those yrs of collecting cool stuff, then one day you wake up and realize now what? But the chase has certainly been fun.
Speaking of Chicago, the main seller there for Cavallino magzines is Alex Balestrieri. His website is ALBACO.
I have Cavallino Magazine issues #4, #5, #6. & # 14 available. I will PM you with contact info and price. More early issues available PM me, Barry Image Unavailable, Please Login
