KTR is organizing a trip to the Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, Florida for January 17-22, 2006. Our transporter carries six cars comfortably and will be parked at the race track in WPB. We are also offering race prep and track support for that event. Vintage racers an participate in the Historic Ferrari Challenge if they so choose. Concours participants can rent space also for the trip down and back. Challenge car owners please note that we have a Dyno-Dynamics chassis dyno and can determine if your race car is up to snuff. A technician with an SD2 computer is also available, by appointment, to help find those illusive computer glitches. Please contact us by PM or call 978-772-7800 and ask for David. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. This is this country's premier Ferrari event each year! Don't miss it!

Slightly off the topic of transporting .....

Is there a special website (or other) that gives info about the Cavallino event? I would be interested in attending (without my car) but want to know about dates, admission costs, hotels, etc.

    THANKS!

If you subscribe to Cavallino all the info you will need and more will be in the Oct/Nov Issue. Subscribers get first crack (understandable). The issues at the bookstores and such are in stands 2 or 3 (or4) weeks later. The date of the 2006 Classic are: January 17 to 22, 2006
I dont subscribe but i looked up LAST years and here's some figures:
(you said you werent bringing your car so these are the "entrance only" prices)
    Moroso Track Event (Thurs): $30
There is a Tour of Palm Beach - a rally through the surrounding area - requires a full participant package. But seeing them take off from the Breakers is quite a sight...
    Welcome Jet Reception: $85
Moroso Track Event (Fri) : $30
Concorso (Sat at the Breakers): $40

They had CC prefferred rates at surrounding hotels. Theres a sidebar in the form with names and numbers of them - 9 in all - of varying rates (the Breakers at $380 (!) to the Hilton at $129...)
PM me if you want the whole list...

Otherwise, your best bet willl be to get your hands on issue 149 as soon as you can..
Their number - since they publish it in the magazine i guess i can post i here... - is 561-994-1345

Fantastic show... i've been 4 times, back in the late '90s and in 2000... the concorso alone is worth the trip...
some shots and writeups are at their site: www.cavallino.com

planning to make it back in 06 myself...

    hope this helps...

It's interesting to see that I'm not the only one from the Northeast considering going to Florida next year. I have never been but hear all kinds of good things about it.

Welcome Doug! You do realize that we are neighbors, right? Feel free to PM me regarding local stuff for Ferrari folks... You don't have to own one to enjoy it all. We are meeting this Sunday at the Starbucks in Beverly on Rt. 1A at 9:30 AM

I never know who will show up, but there are usually a few of us that do and between the coffee and the F-talk, we can be there for a couple of hours..

As we are so close, we can always meet some other time to talk shop too!

Owing to a lack of interest the trip from KTR to Cavallino Classic was cancelled. Hopefully there will be more interest next year? KTR will be renting different tracks at various times for private track time for their clients. Please inquire @ 978-772-7800
