Let's start discussing next years CC. So far no update on the model(s) to be featured. Who will be attending?
Open bar reception for FChat subscribed members. Come on, man. Motorsport Network can well afford it…..
I also hope to go again this year. Waiting for them to fill out more of the info on the website as it gets closer.
Not my”lifestyle”, so no plans to attend, even if tortellini’s are promised to be exquisite. Full disclosure: Never attended, even pre-tortellini and now, less likely in the future.
Thanks for the invite, but that ^^ would go to the other extreme end of “not my lifestyle” scale. I mean I never understood why anyone would subject themselves for such abuse. I’m may now have to puke just for thinking about it. Heck, even in my mid-teens I already preferred decent whiskey, straight up.
I think you got me pegged. I don’t really enjoy large social gatherings, including those catering to so-called car people, be they C & Cs, Concourses, Shows, etc. I’m more into driving and working on vintage cars, which both have pre-occupied me close to full-time for nearly 40 years already. I also enjoy occasional nice dinners/drinks/cigars, movies/theater/opera and visiting with (real life) friends, but not in crowded/noisy places. And yes, all that makes me “happy”.
It can be what you make of it. I'm not for big parties either so when I go to CC I meet a few people only and walk the field on Saturday looking at the cars. At most I'll have dinner with one or 2 friends. Very casual. Field is a bit crowded yes..but not loud.
Can someone fill me in on the following questions: 1. When do you have to submit your car to be part of the event? 2. What are the typical costs involved with showing a car? Not, the car prep etc. just the show, etc. 3. Any other information worth sharing? Do you register all of the event(s) separately? I've attended the event probably 5 times in the past 15 years, but I'm thinking about showing our near perfect 4k mile Stradale. Just trying to gather some info and understand whether its better to just be a spectator or not.
All the information you need will be on the Cavallino web site, if not now then when they have details finalized. In general, I’d suggest attending at least one CC as a spectator and then decide if displaying is something you want to do.
