https://cavallino.com/palm-beach-cavallino-classic/ "An incredible Concorso d’Eleganza event, made of deep passions, unique celebrations and moments to be remembered again and again. An experience to be discovered every step of the way. The new, exciting program will be announced in September! Stay tuned."
Glass half full hat on. Hoping they don't mess the concours on Sat the way the cars line up is simply Amazing.
Same mentality of the ridiculous passenger displays in the new cars. Novelty and marketing that adds no value and is so desperate it makes me cringe. For the last several years my perspective has been to be on island during Cavallino, not for Cavallino. Palm Beach is a special place and the main draw. When it's buzzing with Ferrari, even better, but that's just a bonus for us at this point. Maybe a bit hyperbolic given that cars are my oxygen and I very much look forward to the immersion, but it's more about enjoying the weekend with friends and family.
Well so far it was still drawing a great bunch of cars, hard to equal in one place at one time in North America. Being called and promoted more as a lifestyle event has many justifiably scared. I expect it to quickly evolve into something different than it has been. We shall see.
Well last year that part was a complete CF. They were still putting cars on the lawn in no particular order at 10:30.
Yes but as a photographer (very amateurish), I sort of loved it was a cf..gave me so much more time to shoot them all lined up!
What was this like? I wasn't there and now I'm curious. Thinking about going down for a couple days this Jan as a short getaway, been years since I've been.
Mar a lago is a private club.....but they open the lawn up for the show on sunday as well the ballroom for a fantastic brunch and final awards ceremony . by 2pm if is all over. It is open to all cars, past pebble beach best of show makes a showing, a number of Ferrari's and other cars. They had a special build last year - from Dalara. Also, the judging is what they call french style - and they lump cars in classes which should not be. For us personally at Cavallino we took 3 awards with the red GTC, at Mar a lago we did not even get mentioned :-( . Our 67 was lumped in with the 3 seater white special ferrari - , 1 of 2 cars, as well as others not of the same vintage. Disappointing, that aspect of it......French judging is a walk around and up to the person looking. They did not look under the hood. I don't know who is in charge of the judging, class selection etc, but if what they did last year is the future norm, then going there and competing is not worth the effort and the $$. I think it was almost 500 per person . Pricey brunch .
i don't recall off the cuff, but i think it was about 200 .00 - assume u are talking about cavallino? Mara-a lago - i don't think there is an option for this - car or no car...
I think the 2022 price was $280. Friends and I don't even bother. Unless they make changes this time, you can see all the cars lined up and preparing to enter the lawn that morning. You can instead use that $280 to get three drinks and a shrimp Caesar at Seafood Bar inside.
I went once to Mar a Lago and it was $500 a head. That was in 2013. I think they called it a donation? To Trump bottom line probably
I feel like it would be indolent to go with tortellini again. Rigatoni feels a bit gauche for the venue. I'm going go with Gemelli.
Radiatori made painstakingly by hand by a guy who once saw a bust of Julius Caesar in a museum up close on a slow day.
