Likewise, can't wait to catch up with everybody this year and I will be showing my 512 BBi.
Only a small pice from me. I was there last year for the first time, did 3 days on the track and them the concours with judging the car and I must say it was the vest event I ever did. This year I bring a car from europe for the event. For me Cavallino is absolutly the best. Happy for 3 days on the tracks, meeti g good people and having fun.
You have that right - they will play it to the end - whatever that is. My wife and I will go again for the 9th or 10th time, not sure. Primarily we are going just to have a fun weekend - we go to the track Friday to see friends then check into hotel and go to Beach Party that was a blast last year. Saturday my wife does not care about the show at all - she's seen enough cars to last a lifetime. We go out for food and just see the great cars form the patio and enjoy everyone we meet in the Ferrari parking lot then go home Sunday Morning - that gets interesting seeing who gets home first (2 Ferraris)
I think you've figured out the best Cavallino weekend. I might put Mar a Lago into the mix and skip the Concorso altogether to make it near perfect.
Is this all some of you have to say about Cavalino Classic that its to expensive? For me its still one of the best events!
I'd recommend you go back to beginning of the thread and read it all. Lots of good discussion, especially from Brian Crall about his experiences judging. I've been to a bunch of Cavallino events, including having my own car on the lawn. My favorite is still the track day. It just doesn't get much better than sitting in the stands and watching the races, even if they aren't driving in anger. FWIW I thought the cost to show my car this year was fair. I got tickets to all the events including the awards ceremony, and I have to say we were treated quite well.
If anyone here is interested in detailed history or vintage nuts and bolts, the Symposium on Thursday morning should not be missed. Three cars are featured starting at 9am. Our blue 500 Mondial is first. And it's FREE (the symposium, not the car). I'll be filming it; stop by and say hi.
Leslie and I will be there. I'll say hi. Are your mom and dad attending? Looking forward to it. Leaving O dark thirty Wednesday.
The entire event is one of the best and I say that from the perspective of a life long (nearly) west coast guy who went to Monterey many years.
Hey Bryan! I can't wait to see you, your dad and the little blue Ferrari! I'm in Lauderdale now and plan to be at the track Friday. Helping a friend move a 140' motor yacht next Monday. Hope to see you at the track - Al Sent by incredibly fast electrons
To anyone coming.. We are coming to the cavallino event and are in dire need of a set of 348 wheels to use just for the saturday show on our 348 challenge car we are bringing for our friend from austria Heinz. He is also a fellow F-chatter on here. Please let me know if anyone can help us out. Thanks and best regards, Jim McGee - Pocono Sportscar 570-677-0173
